Key Responsibilities
- Implementing new features and bugfixing as requested by the business in Dynamic Risk application and Titan risk system
- Perform data analysis and business flow implementation
- Implementing of infrastructure automation improvements
- Level 3 support and OnCall availability on rotation basis
- Occasionally releasing new versions Dynamic Risk application
Essentials Skills and Qualifications:
- Programming: regular C#, .NET Framework 4 or newer, Visual Studio 2013 & 2015
- Frameworks: some of WPF, Winforms, SSIS, WCF, WebAPI
- Testing: knowledge about TDD, BDD
- Databases: good SQL, Microsoft SQL Server
- Way of working: Scrum, JIRA/Odyssey platform
- Analytical mind set
- Interest and understanding of investment banking products
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- PowerShell, TeamCity
- Experience in working in the Risk domain in Investment banking, either in Front-office or Market/Credit Risk with a good understanding of risk sensitivities as well as front-to-back processes
GFG is a client driven business providing financing solutions to corporates, sovereigns, quasi sovereigns and financial institutions. The business has developed a leading franchise in the Emerging Markets with a strong reputation. GFG is continuing to evolve its strategy, looking at new markets and opportunities across the globe.
Financings are arranged using Loans, Bonds and sometimes Equity. The financing can be vanilla in nature, but can also be complex, where for example it may contain an embedded derivative or minimum IRR. Deals can be Bilateral or Syndicated to other Banks. In both instances GFG can end up with a sizable exposure, in which case it will sell down the risk to investors using a range of credit products. In most deals the business will look to retain a small Hold position in the financing up to maturity.
GFG is a profitable business, contributing a sizeable percentage of the EMG revenues every year, as well as generating robust PTI and ROE demonstrating efficient use of capital and well controlled costs. As such GFG is deemed as one of the key growth business' within EMG and within FID.
GFG trades 9 of the 27 product families across 3 main entities with volume in several small entities. For all three regions, the trades can be split into four categories: (Loans 45%, OTC Derivatives (45%), Securities (5%) and FX (5%))
EMG IT (part of Solutions IT) team is spread between London, Wroclaw, New York, and currently is expanding in Warsaw. Teams are working on various projects: multiple MIS tools, PnL / RMS Systems for the front office desk, along with various regulatory projects. Globally the team is 20+ members.
The team in Poland is growing significantly with the target size of15. Some of the projects are currently being moved to Warsaw, where the team will be one of the first software development teams. The target size of Wroclaw team is 6. There are prospects for moving more projects to Poland in the near future.
The team in Wroclaw in has ownership of Dynamic Risk application. It is also working with global team on Titan risk system and migration to new Titan Lite risk system. The main group's objective is to improve efficiency of the supported Front Offices by implementation of requested functionality, unifying tools, improving usability and simplifying maintenance.
