Responsibilites
- Development of test approaches, estimates and plans for Guidewire products and complex integrated systems, drive successful execution to ensure end result aligns with business need in collaboration with other client’s teams
- Delivery of testable and traceable requirements and effective applying of appropriate testing techniques to ensure comprehensive end-to-end testing
- Development of test cases, tests execution, defects triage and resolution
- Development of effective test metrics for timely decision making around quality
- Proactive engagement with development teams to help promote prevention of defects early in project/development lifecycle
- Reporting status of tests development and execution timely in a proper manner
Requirements
- Proven experience in manual and performance testing for client server applications
- Expertise in Guidewire Policy Center testing is highly desirable being a critical decision factor
- Strong experience in performing DB conversion testing and SQL
- Good knowledge and understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
- Extensive experience in establishing QA standards, analyzing business requirements, test planning, test cases creation, defect reporting, traceability and test metrics
- Expertise in functional, regression, smoke, integration, user acceptance and database testing
- Ability to identify, document and monitor specific problems / bugs and resolution alternatives
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills with ability to work under pressure in a highly visible role, fluent spoken and written English
We offer
The Guidewire Manual QA engineer will work with development team and business analysts on smoke testing for existing Guidewire PolicyCenter configuration; design and develop an approach for the existing framework enhancements taking accountability for overall test coverage, produce relevant artifacts and provide support for the Guidewire PolicyCenter applications where necessary. Separate note on transparent and timely reporting of status to business users and QA management is required.
