IT Business Specialist III acts as a liaison between the business units within EMEA and Information Technology Department. IT Business Specialist III works within the team to understand and enhance business processes and customer interactions through information technologies. IT Business Specialist III will work on defining business processes and information technology improvement initiatives that will add value to the business/enterprise.

In this position you will primarily be responsible for the area of applications critical to EMEA business operations. The scope of the role gives you exposure to senior leaders in the business. You will also broaden your perspective and IT awareness by cooperating closely IT Service Providers.
- Act as a liaison with the business/process owner and Information Technology to coordinate the delivery of information technology solutions to the business
- Collect and translate customer requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization
- Participate in overall process improvements of a functional area
- Provide complete functional process analysis, design and documentation of new and existing business processes
- Understand and participate in the phases of IT’s project delivery process
- Begin to coordinate and/or conduct Information Technology training or educational sessions
- Build working relationships with internal customers
- Plan and lead medium to large sized projects and enhancement request, assist, and lead the commissioned project team to devise project plans and define communication strategy of status of project. Deliver projects within agreed schedule and budget.
- Plan, design and execute functional tests of new or modified applications. Coordinate user functional testing performed by business.
- Begin to present a thorough understanding of business systems and industry requirements
- Pro-actively propose solutions to the business.
- Provide consultative support by developing innovative solutions that effectively drive new opportunities to deliver value to the customers, business, and potentially our suppliers.
- Act as a facilitator in regards to communication between different organizational units.
- Act as a key contact for customers in the specific area of expertise.
- Begin to coach other members of the team on business analysis and/or project management, and business acumen.
- Follow and begin to share best practices and recognized standards of Business Analysis; i.e. published by International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA).
- Proven experience in Business Analysis and Project Management roles
- Proven track of record of implementing business process improvements
- In depth knowledge of business process mapping, data modeling and broad knowledge of technologies supporting the business.
- Ability to listen and to elicit user requirements and develop effective business solutions.
- Ability to negotiate between business and information technology.
- Excellent command of English.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate and collaborate with all levels of our organization.
- Getting work done through others.
- Strong business acumen.
- Team player skills.
- You should also have:
- A university degree in Information Technology or Business.
- Experienced use of computer based project planning & time management tools will be an asset
