GESP is a software engineering team located in Wrocław. We are a remote site of CeTEC GmbH, located in Munich. Our headquaters is an engineering lab with a strong focus on telemetry and telematic applications, systems and terminal devices. We have 2 additional engineering teams located in Rosenheim and Bremen. Our core technologies are machine-to-machine communication("M2M") via GSM/UMTS/LTE cellular networks and GPS/Glonass satellite navigation, GSM network location based services, but also iridium satellite communicaton, GPRS TCP/IP client-server communication, wifi and bluetooth data transmission, especially to and from mobile devices. We develop the complete soft- and hardware for our projects and products on our own premises, including extremely miniaturized devices and communication server solutions. Our services range from product prototyping, small quantity applications to series production of complete security, positioning, industrial communication, automotive telematics and telemedicine systems. We have achieved an excellent reputation in our business field, our customers are typically large well-known companies like DHL,Kaercher or Vodafone, seeking for and relying on our special knowledge.
Java Backend Software Developer
Location: Wrocław
Job description
- Design and development of our service-oriented Java backend software solution to control our GSM/GPS tracking devices for applications such as object tracking, remote control and telemetry, industrial monitoring, emergency transmitter and theft warning systems.
- You design the system architecture, create the necessary software modules and integrate them into a complete system.
- You prepare fully automated system regression tests as well as design validation.
- Perform system testing and validation of the software you created.
- Perform web-based code reviews of your colleagues software.
Requirements
- You have a degree in computer science or equivalent qualification.
- You bring analytical skills, flexibility and creativity.
- You ideally have several years of professional experience in the development of server software.
- We can also offer enthusiastic young professionals a chance, provided you have already acquired some practical experience in these fields (e.g. by internships, student activities, etc.).
- Experience with either server-side scripting, e.g. Bash-scripts, or with JavaScript is considered an asset but not a necessity.
