For our Client – one of major players in global investment banking, we are currently looking for a person who is interested in professional development in an international work environment, within diverse teams for a position of:
JUNIOR FINANCIAL SERVICES PRODUCT CONTROLLER
The Successful Candidate will be responsible for ensuring that financial instruments of the Global Markets Business are appropriately valued and controlled with respect of best practices which incorporate accounting standard, policies, procedures and other relevant guidance.
Product Control is a key function, part of Finance and independent of Front Office, responsible for ensuring the complete and accurate recording of Global Markets / Balance Sheet Management activities within the books and records, in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
While working on this position, you will be a part of a team responsible for running systems, where required, to produce the relevant data, identification, resolving production exceptions and review and validation of the results involving comparison to trader data and analytical review. Your responsibilities will involve upload of the results for review by onshore management, preparation of commentary (including an audit trail from the initial results to the final results with justification of any adjustments to enable onshore managerial review) and responding to onshore queries.
As Successful Candidate on this position you need to have up to 2 years experience in finance, be fluent English and hold a University Diploma preferably in Mathematical/ Banking/ Financial/ Economic or Technical Subject. Additionally you have to be advanced in Excel and/or MS Access, possess good understanding of Financial Markets, excellent analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem solving. Highly developed interpersonal skills, with a strong customer focus will be an important advantage. Being ambitious, driven and enthusiastic is also very desirable.
