As a LAN Support Specialist you will provide personal computer support to IP facilities throughout the region. Under direct supervision, you will provide second tier support to end-users for workstations, servers, RF devices, printers and other workstation attached devices. This role will primarily be utilized in environments where at least two higher level LAN Specialists or Analysts are assigned that can handle the more complex technical tasks and duties and that will assist in provide training and coaching to the individual.
You will have the chance to work in a multinational environment with a variety of global range IT teams. It is also an opportunity to develop technical skills and procedural knowledge of Regional Support group. The role offers exposure to our internal users located in assigned region. This position could be interesting for experienced IT support specialists with strong commitment to deliver superior level of customer support and technical expertise.
- Report and work with a regional manager, assigned technical lead, and/or site lead LAN Support Specialist or Analyst.
- Provide day-to-day management and break/fix support of workstations, servers, RF devices, printers, and other workstation attached devices for all assigned facilities.
- Act as the liaison into Information Technology second and third level support groups to assist in expediting the support process.
- Perform assigned tasks for installation and configuration of devices as part of our refresh lifecycle management programs for workstations and other devices.
- Perform assigned project tasks or set of actions for completion of project or process activity or activities within defined timelines (includes but not limited to installation, configuration, and/or moves of supported standard devices or implementation of a process).
- Under direct supervision be capable of handling any routine technical problem with demonstrated adequate communication skills.
- Manage vendor warranty and break/fix work. You may assist in the desktop/server/LAN procurement process.
- Maintain documentation for the facility, including inventory, ticket tracking, time tracking and assigned project work.
- Be a member of On-Call rotation and may require travel between supported sites and facilities.
- Associate Degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience.
- Entry level to less than 2 years of related Information Systems experience.
- MCP (preferred)
- The ability, under general supervision, to handle complex operational problems and assignments.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Fluency in Polish and English.
