Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience in coordinating projects across multiple geographies and language teams
- Knowledge of localisation processes and CAT tools is beneficial, particularly SDL Trados Studio and MultiTerm
- Experience using SharePoint and other project management systems is advantageous
- Excellent, all-round communicator
- Fluency in written and spoken English. Additional languages are beneficial
- Motivated, goal orientated and detail focused
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse personality types, and strong relationship builder
- Handles stressful situations and deadline pressures well
- Understands the role of localisation in international rollout of marketing campaigns and projects
Responsibilities:
Planning:
- Support the creation of project plans to set and manage the schedule for completing work across multiple languages
- Monitor progress against the project schedule to make certain projects are kept on track and report any conflicts or issues to be resolved to the Localisation Operations Manager
- Liaise with international marketing teams and Project Managers to ensure resource is allocated appropriately and according to project priority lists
- Contribute to the use of SharePoint and other project management systems, as a centralised repository for project information and marketing materials
Development and Implementation:
- Manage and maintain the roadmap of localisation work, ensuring timescales accommodate available resources
- Work with the Localisation Operations Manager for input on priorities and to determine when necessary to outsource materials to external localisation vendors
- Contribute to the implementation of localisation process improvements, such as maximising the use of a translation tool and the organisation of translated files and Translation Memories
- Coordinate the Business Acceptance Testing and QA stage of projects to ensure the language quality of delivered products and project outputs
Management and Reporting:
- Ensure roadmaps, timelines, status reports, etc., are kept up to date and communicated to delivery teams
- Track and mitigate risks and issues throughout projects
- Monitor localisation quotes and costs against the annual localisation budget
- Track and raise POs for third party vendors to ensure timely invoicing
- Approve and monitor localisation requests through the Service Now request system, from across the business, and propose improvements to evolve the workflow
- Maintain and distribute up to date references materials, glossaries and style guides to language teams
- Assist in compiling reports and analysis based on Service Now and project data, in order to inform business decisions
- Help to produce presentations, and compile retrospective comments at the end of projects
- Facilitate collaboration and communication across global marketing and translation teams
- Build a strong relationship with third party translation vendors to support localisation delivery, when internal resource is at full capacity
