In your role as an Engineer (Systems Programmer) you will be responsible for providing support for applications which run on the z/OS Platform. You will work alongside the z/OS engineering team to develop, install/configure mainframe applications along with related tools and infrastructure components.
Successful candidates will have:
- Ability to design, build and maintain applications in an Agile environment.
- Excellent technical and interpersonal skills:
- You will be able to communicate and understand requirements from our stakeholders.
- Fluent in English (negotiation level), German preferable
- A proven track record in a similar environment:
- Delivering software solutions to demanding product owners, being part of a large and (possibly) distributed team.
- Modern test driven development techniques
- Mainframe engineering and administration experience
We recruit 'generalizing specialists' who are expert in the core technologies and users of, or would like to learn the other technologies:
Core:
- REXX, SAS, JCL, CLIST, TSO, ISPF, IBM Debug Tool, CAFC, Startool/DA
- Unix System Services on the mainframe
Other technologies:
- DB2 Mainframe System
- SAS/MXG for performance reporting
- RACF
The project is a global technology change and delivery organization comprising nearly 100 individuals located in Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States and Singapore. It provides archiving and retrieval solutions to all Customer’s business divisions (WM, Swiss Bank, IB, WMA and GLAM) focusing on supporting Legal, Regulatory and Operational functions.
The current technology stack comprises z/OS, IBM CMOD, Opentext, Oracle, SAMFS, DB2, TSM, NETAPPS SNAPLOCK and various in-house created technologies.
Our team methodology will include Scrum / Agile and traditional Iterative / Waterfall models. The project teams consist of IT project managers, business analysts, developers and testers. Business is represented by various business units from all divisions of the bank.
