Migration Project Executive
Purpose of the role
Supports the Project Manager to deliver migration projects on time and on budget.
Accountabilities:
• Supports the Project Manager in planning, managing and delivering (migration) projects. Takes responsibility for planning and delivering migration waves/own set of tasks, prioritising to ensure on-time delivery and escalating issues to Project Manager as required. Ensures all relevant tasks required to deliver the project are planned and have clear owners.
• Builds effective business relationships and successfully manages the expectations of and communicate with project stakeholders.
• Manages robust processes for controlling risks, issues, change and dependency logs for the project. Identifies them for own project and initiates corrective action as appropriate with key stakeholders.
• Tracks resource requirements (including logistics) to ensure successful delivery of projects, working closely with the project manager to ensure efficient utilisation of resources.
• Monitors overall (migration) project progress using required trackers and updates plans to agreed schedule/process and ensure effective communication with all stakeholders.
• Collects and maintains project information and key documents. Provides support to project team as required for project meetings and workshops.
• Adopts and uses corporate best practice approach to project management and standardised process and tools
• Provides financial tracking and reporting support, including raising orders and receipting as required

Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
Qualifications:
• Professional Project Management Accreditation is desirable
• IT – Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Project / SharePoint / Microsoft Project
Skills:
• Excellent planning and organisation skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise to meet objectives in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, finite resources and conflicting priorities
• Excellent level of self-organisation, motivation and independence through taking ownership for delivery.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good influencing skills.
• Collaborative working style to achieve targets both as part of a team and as an individual.
• Ability to work independently, take personal ownership of issues and delivery, recognising when to escalate to resolve issues
• Ability to resolve complex issues through an objective and analytical approach, developing options and negotiating resolutions.
• Ability to translate project objectives into a set of project tasks.
• Good business acumen which enables consideration of the wider impact and dependencies of projects.
• Spanish is desirable
Experience:
• Experience in migration of work from existing teams to shared service centre or offshore operation centre.
• Experience delivering support and/or planning services in a multi-stakeholder organization
• Experience of supporting a project or programme team and/or managing own small project or tasks within larger project.
• Experience of working within a fast-moving, ambiguous environment with new technology/products and working practices
• Experience of taking responsibility for delivering own tasks and actions
• Experience of working with cross-departmental stakeholders.
• Knowledge of standard (migration) project lifecycle and experience of using it.
• Experience of working with different project methodologies such as standard project lifecycle, agile or lean.
• Evidence of using project management skills and techniques to prioritise tasks, manage workload, time, costs and resources.
