Accenture Research is recruiting a new lead for its global Center of Excellence in data visualization.
Research professionals possess deep research and analysis expertise, shaping research, analysis and insights that enable Accenture and our clients to generate global impact through identification, development and implementation of proprietary and innovative ideas.
Accenture Research has established a Center of excellence and grown a Community of Practitioners in data visualization, primarily using Tableau software. Together with other Centers of Excellence in Corporate Finance, Data Science, Econometrics, Survey research and Market and Competitor Intelligence, researchers prepare data dashboards to explore and analyze data with elegant yet powerful interactivity.

Key Responsibilities of the Tableau Lead are both tactical and strategic, and at the intersection of business, tech and people. They include:
- Lead in creating outstanding visualizations for business research data, using Tableau or similar, and get directly involved in high profile projects.
- Create a business vision, a strategy and an operating model for dataviz to communicate research insights across Accenture.
- Lead the tech strategy and roadmap: Server vs on premise, open data base connectors, APIs, collaboration platforms, ecosystem of vendors and contractors. Future proofing our main investments while piloting other solutions.
- Build a high performing core team of dataviz experts within Accenture Research and provide guidance and help on their deliverables.
- Lead and coordinate a community of research practitioners to increase skills, cross-pollinate ideas, foster innovation, around for example Industry / Businesses team-specific hubs.
- Collaborate adjacent research Centers of Excellences such as Corporate Finance, Data Science, Econometrics, Survey research and Market and Competitor Intelligence and investigate joint opportunities and create joint solutions.
- Collaborate with leadership in Accenture analytics consulting and technology practice to cross-pollinate ideas, share innovation, contribute and align to existing infrastructure (platforms).
- Manage stakeholders and funding (with the help of Accenture Research leadership).
- Expand visibility in Accenture and outside, with external partners and with clients. Harvest client credentials, present on community meetings and leadership calls. Represent Accenture Research in conferences and client-facing situations, for instance as a speaker on industry or vendor-hosted conferences.
Your skills:
- Entrepreneurial attitude: Creative and independent approach to problems.
- Outstanding data visualization skills: Mastery of both creative and critical thinking, with track record in engaging dashboards (Tableau or similar) and interactive storylines.
- Technology mindset: Deep understanding of technology ecosystem for dataviz. Strong interest in technical matters, basic understanding of programming and database management.
- Analytical ability: Able to draw out the implications of the research is delivered with Tableau, develop strong stories.
- Solid Research skills: Able to take an issue and turn it into a researchable question for which Tableau or similar can be a key delivery vehicle.
- Client track record: Prove you have built trust-based relationships in a business context
- People mindset: Able to supervise, train or coach a small team.
- Team player in a global, multi-cultural, multi-time zone team, plus a good understanding of the various dynamics in Accenture: Ability to develop selling and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders; strong professional qualities such as client focus, decisiveness, integrity, resilience to stress against stretch goals, deadlines.
Your background:
- 5+ years experience in dataviz for business research in consulting, web, or press.
- Technical university degree preferred, but not limited to.
- Experience in international team preferred.
- Fluent English and Polish.
