For our client, global company from consumer electronics sector, we are looking for a newly opened position of Senior Accountant in Warsaw office, Poland responsible for the accounting of its Czech branch.
Senior Accountant

Suitable candidates should possess very good knowledge of Czech accounting standards and adequate experience to assume a high level accountancy role in an international matrix environment.
As Senior Accountant you will be responsible for:
- managing general ledger to assure statutory accounting and reporting including preparation of statutory financials and group accounts
- preparing for and facilitate annual statutory audits
- performing month end / year end closing procedures according to strict procedures and deadlines
- assuring tax compliance according to local requirements
- preparing tax returns (CIT/VAT)
- managing accrual accounting
- assuring quality in employee accounts settlements and reconciliations
- providing input for cash pooling / treasury function
- prepare and check payment proposals
- accounting for expenses of small branches
- booking payroll following the preparation by the outsourcer
- executing and coordinating outsourced accounting processes such as P2P (purchase to pay) and R2R (record to report)
- adhering to and following company regulations and processes, especially with regard to group accounting procedures, internal controls and SOX requirements.
The ideal candidate should have:
- experience in matrix international organizations
- good knowledge of Czech tax regulations and accounting acts
- very good English
- Czech language speaker is welcome
- goal oriented work attitude
- ability to work in a team and communicate openly with problem solving approach
- ability to work under time pressure with numerous tasks to be completed by precise deadlines
- advanced excel skills
- SAP proficiency.
