Senior Database Architect

• Technical leadership to design, implement, deploy and maintain large SQL/NoSQL databases for mobile and web applications.
• Created databases group up starting from the business requirements, defining the logical models, and plan the system architecture.
• Ensure proper database performance and reliability to support the correct behavior of the web applications
• Work with software engineers and database engineers to ensure overall application design is optimal
• Build database tools and scripts that enable automation of tasks.
• Create ETL scripts to load data between systems
• Administer production and development databases, ensuring maximum availability.
• Hands-on coding;
• Conduct design and code walkthrough, peer reviews and produce technical documentation.
• Code reviews for other developers

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in technical discipline or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years of working experience as software developer
• Familiar with PostgresSQL and PostGIS
• Familiar with NoSQL databases
• Excellent skills in designing relational databases
• Experience with data modeling tools
• Hands on experience developing stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Proficiency in object oriented design and modeling;
• Demonstrated success in designing and leading implementation of complex software architectures with aggressive deadlines and involving multiple teams;
• Ability to estimate development tasks accurately and meet the deadlines
• Experience in geo-software is desired

Soft Skills:

• Ability to take ownership of projects and be self-directed
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Fluency in English and willingness to travel (up to 20% of time to Italy and/or Estonia);
