Spotlight is a web application accessible on desktop and tablets which provides senior management with an intuitive view of not just the banks current risk profile and recent changes/trends but also how this risk profile is performing against intra-day movements in the major markets. Spotlight provides senior management with instant access to the Bank's risk position in a certain area as and when important / market moving news is reported (be it geopolitical, country, issuer or market related). They can also simulate how further market moves could affect the Bank and identify potential hedging options. In this way, Spotlight will also allow UBS to react much faster to subsequent ad-hoc regulatory enquiries regarding Bank's risk positions and potential P&L impact.
