Position Summary:
Our client is looking for an experienced Enterprise Web Architect to lead the definition and implementation of the architecture behind our new Max Engage product. In this position, you will directly contribute in a hands-on role, as well as work closely with leadership and collaborate with developers, UX designers, and product managers during the design and development process to bring this product to life. You are expected to act as advanced subject matter expert across the enterprise web technology space, providing guidance to developers, other architects and system administrators, while leading continuing development and enhancements of shared application frameworks. You will also act as an advance level collaborator with development and operations on researching new trends in software design, development tools and operational techniques to maximize our performance and ability to deliver new features to customers and partners, to support achievement of business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify, design, code, test and deploy major, multi-application components of the development environment within the existing framework of enterprise-wide applications
- Build prototypes and working models of complex or new design elements
- Develop and/or maintain application architecture artifacts including application models, design documentation and data flow diagrams
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the architecture is aligned with the business requirements, engaging in research and advocacy for new directions in software design, programming approaches and applications to provide new features and revenue sources
- Provide technical advanced leadership to the application development and system administration teams, including guidance on open source solutions, industry best practices, and technical trends
- Contribute to the development of application design and coding standards and ensuring adherence to said standards
Education, Experience, Certification Requirements:
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s in computer science, software engineering or related field, or its equivalent
- 10 years of relevant experience, to include digital technologies, high volume multi-platform software development, and architecture role coordinating disparate technical and business stakeholders Java-based products, with demonstrated achievements of progressive responsibilities
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Solid knowledge and understanding of enterprise architecture styles, including Service Oriented Architecture (SOA Contract-first/Contract-last), web, client/server architecture, business intelligence architectures, messaging and integration architectures, and legacy architecture
- Demonstrated experiencing developing architectural models to communicate complex subjects in a clear and informative way to varying audiences
- High-level working knowledge of existing web technologies including C#, Java, Javascript frameworks, NodeJS, HTML5, CSS, etc
- Proficiency working in Windows and Unix environments
- Excellent problem solving, with the ability to distill a problem down to one or two key hypotheses and quickly able to validate based on live and experimental data Good to have experience with PHP
