- Responsible for administering, maintaining, enhancing and implementing system changes from small components, to entire complex systems infrastructure, adhering to the established industry standards
- Monitoring and controlling of the performance and status of the infrastructure and the physical/virtual computer equipment on which systems and applications operate
- Ensures that the operation of the infrastructure is in accordance with established procedures and practices
- Take action if the infrastructure availability, integrity or performance is compromised
- Work closely with global technical teams in the support and enhancement of the core infrastructure to ensure better reliability and resilience, whilst at the same time making the environment more cost effective
- Suggest recommendations about enhancements to the existing infrastructure.
- 5+ years' experience as Web Infrastructure administrator (Apache, IHS, IIS, Tomcat, WebSphere) in a demanding technical environment, preferably in the financial industry
- Incident and problem management using various problem analysis and debugging tools
- Experience with Performance Monitoring applications (preferably CA APM
or AppDynamics)
- Strong client focus and pragmatic working approach
- Excellent communication skills in English are required - German a plus.
- Good UNIX Administration knowledge
- Experience with coordination and delivery management in collaboration with offshore teams
- A good understanding of aspects of backend connectivity (messaging / database)
- Knowledge of load and performance aspects of JEE applications and infrastructure.
Professional Experience - A minimum of 3 years of experience in the IT field needed.

- Very good Middleware System knowledge, family: Apache, IHS, IIS, Tomcat, WebSphere
- ITIL (specificaly Release and Change-Management)

Web System Administrator is member of the new Web Infrastructure Services team with the following responsibilities.
We are building absolutely new Operations Service center in Wroclaw and looking for enthusiastic candidates ready to participate in system administration of infrastructure in one of the leading banks in the world.
Dedicated team will be responsible for providing timely deployment of infrastructure services and keep technology platforms fully operational and running. Work will require involvement into administration of enterprise level cloud solutions and migrating into new cloud based infrastructure. Candidate’s contribution to automation of existing operational processes will be highly appreciated and valued. Candidate will need to work in multicultural environment with colleagues across the world: Switzerland, UK, USA and many others, and occasional business trips are possible to those locations.
Candidate should be ready to meet the following challenges: incredibly high volume of data, unprecedented requirements of reliability and uptime, thousands of instances of virtual servers, databases and application servers.
