Systems Engineer (Hydro-Mechanical)

Zadania:

    Our client is the world leader in the design and manufacture of landing gears and landing systems for all types of civil and military aeroplanes and helicopters. Combining advanced engineering, proven expertise in systems integration and unrivalled capabilities in their markets our client delivers innovative solutions to more than 30 aircraft manufacturers and 3,000 commercial and military operators around the world, resulting over 35,500 landings per day.

Wymagania:

    Applications are now invited for the above position in our Systems Integration and Test Department.

     

    To join our team you must be highly motivated, with strong communication and IT skills. The main purpose of the job will be to specify, design and integrate, verify and support the hydro-mechanical aspects of the landing gear systems. To manage equipment suppliers from a technical perspective.

     

    Key responsibilities in this role will be to interface with the customers and interpret customer needs. Definition and validation of requirements at system and equipment levels. Design of hydro-mechanical systems architecture. Execution of calculations relating to design, loads and performance. Modelling and simulation of systems and equipment. Assistance with safety and reliability analysis. Management of equipment suppliers, including the evaluation of suppliers' designs, qualification strategies and documentation.

     

    In addition you will be able to demonstrate knowledge of systems engineering theory. Familiarity with airworthiness regulations such as CS25 and FAR25. Familiarity with ARP4754, DO-160 and MIL-STD-810 standards. Knowledge of hydro-mechanical equipment design and qualification. Proficiency with DOORS. An ability to use MATLAB/Simulink, EASY5 and ADAMS (preferable). Knowledge of basic project management.

     

    You will be qualified to degree level or equivalent in an engineering discipline. A team player and innovative problem-solver with excellent communication skills, you will regularly liaise with customers and suppliers alike to ensure the teams achieve exacting results. The ability to speak another language or have experience working overseas would be an advantage.
