Test Manager/QA Lead M/F
Location: Wroclaw
Job Description:
- Successful delivery of Change the Bank and Run the Bank testing engagements
- Develop, implement, manage, enforce polices, practices and tools for RMIT. For function, validity, performance and reliability testing
- Lead standardisation of QA processes and tools across RMIT including the management of fungible testing pools across departments
- Performing effort estimation for QA Activities
- Develop and implement Test Strategy and Test Planning for all Change activities across department
- Reviews results of major and final tests to determine if product specifications are met in line with requirements and standards
- Ensure that requirements and quality standards are recognized, understood and maintained. Monitor and evaluate testing practices and tools to improve the testing process and quality of test results.
- Ensure in-process and finished products and processes conform to in-house policies and procedures as well as other applicable regulations and guidelines.
- Keep abreast of changes to quality regulations and guidelines, advising the management team of any business implications of these changes. Lead, manage and ensure proper training to any relevant change management programs.
- Identify and address staff training and development needs.
- Provide quality guidance to development projects and programs
Requirements:
- QA Industry experience 5+ years with hands on background is a plus (e.g. DB/SQL, Java, .Net )
- Increasing responsibility in a QA function
- Degree (or equivalent qualification) in a technical or scientific discipline.
- Prior responsibility for Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
- Significant hands on experience in Financial Domain.
- Ability to critically evaluate and troubleshoot complex problems is essential.
- Strong hands on leadership and management skills.
- Ability to effectively participate on multi-disciplinary teams.
- Ability to absorb, digest and relate detailed business, quality, and regulatory information.
- Well-organized and detailed oriented professional, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience across all delivery methodologies iterative / waterfall, and Agile/Scrum.
- Good skill with knowledge and understanding of Automation and Performance Testing (hands on background is a plus+)
- Exposure to Quality Assurance Methodologies, Tools and Techniques.
- Have a QA vision and understanding of how to implement a QA Strategy
Nice to have:
- Experience of PL/SQL, SQL development, Open Text / CMOD or other Document Management solutions, Javascript
- Continuous deployment technologies (eg Puppet)
- Scala or other functional programming language
- Behavioral driven development
