The IT Security Specialist I works with the Business Partner Support team, which is part of the Application Security organization within IT Technical Services.
You will work within the team which is organized around four areas in support of our business partners:
- Finance & Reliability
- Supply Chain
- Human Resources
- Information Technology
You will be responsible for supporting the goals of the Application Security team. You will perform tasks independently and under direct guidance from the Business Partner Support Lead, area-specific Technical Lead, or other senior teammates.
You will have an opportunity to grow and develop within Information Security area that is considered to be one of the most attractive IT specialties today.
You will take an active role in the Global SAP and scoped applications processes support as well as having a chance to contribute to ongoing projects and enhancements influencing the corporate environment and expanding your business acumen.
- Resolve tier II user security issues by working with SAP, related applications, SDM, and other Identity Management tools
- Update system data to support role and user administration processes
- Assist teammates in support of internal and cross-functional projects
- Implement security solutions given instructions and business requirements
- Lock and unlock users in support of business and IT projects
- Build functional specifications and work with SAP development to build read-only functionality
- Validate and test functionality introduced by custom development, support packs, or upgrades
- Participate in the team’s on-call support rotation
- Assist with internal and external audits, user reviews, and other compliance activities
- Identify and implement improvements to processes and procedures
- Follow defined processes and procedures for each of the above responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Familiarity with SAP products (ERP, HR, Portal, BW, CRM, SCEM, APO, SRM, Solution Manager, Netweaver Gateway, CUA) and/or SAP-related products (SuccessFactors, Vendavo, Sabrix)
- Previous experience in customer service, preferable in IT
- Ability to understand business and IT process flows
- Exposure to business analysis and design concepts
- Experience with desktop software tools such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Familiarity with system security concepts will be a plus
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements (Sarbanes-Oxley, segregation of duties) will be a plus
- Familiarity with SAP technical capabilities (ABAP, OSS, eCATT, ALE, IMG, Firefighter) will be a plus
- Customer focus and exceptional phone etiquette
- Good communication and listening skills
- Excellent time management and organizing skills
- Analytical problem solving abilities
- Readiness to work afternoon and evening hours (“on call”) with occasional weekend shifts
