For our client, German e-commerce company located in Berlin, we are looking for:
Data Engineer
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing scalable solutions for the problems of efficient access to data across our production, analysis of databases and servers.
Performing this role you will design scalable databases, forecast data growth patterns and plan capacity, build high performance information retrieval systems by implementing concepts such as indexing, sharing and query optimization. The role also includes analysing and improving the efficiency of our overall platform.

The perfect candidate should hold a degree in computer science or software engineer and have at least 2-3 years of experience as a data engineer. Strong coding skills (Java, Python, Go or another language) and familiarity with MongoDB, Casandra and Hadoop are mandatory. The candidate should have an experience in designing large data warehouse systems and strong SQL skills. Fluency in English is a must, German knowledge would be an asset.
