Technology Center in Gdansk is a part of United Technology Climate Controls & Security group. With over 190 employees we develop new products for different units from CCS group. This particular opening is to support our team developing Marioff products.

 

Marioff Corporation Oy was founded in 1985 and is a leading developer of water mist fire protection technology supplying system solutions worldwide under the brand HI-FOG®. Marioff has several subsidiaries around the world and employs about 400 persons.

 

Embedded Software Development Engineer
Location: Gdańsk
Position Description


Marioff is in process of developing an Electric Pump Unit, known as EPU. This new water mist pump unit will be controlled using PCB based control logic.

 

Marioff is looking for an experienced embedded software engineer with electronics skills to maintain current and develop further control and monitor solutions.

 

As a person you are systematic and capable of sustained and independent work and also active member in a team. The working language of the company is English.

 

Basic functions


To maintain Marioff EPU software through the entire development lifecycle, and develop next generation of advanced sensors, data analytics, and system monitoring.

 

Duties & responsibilities
  • Experience working with Linux based systems. Some experience with windows based systems is a plus
  • Knowledge of embedded software development processes
  • The candidate should be familiar with Printed Circuit Board design and components related to embedded software
  • The candidate should understand and have been exposed to operating system and compiler designs with the capability to apply the knowledge to their assigned software development activities
  • The candidate must be willing to work in a fast paced environment and be able to learn and work with multiple system components in parallel
  • The candidate must have strong analytical and debugging skills
  • The candidate should have strong teamwork and communications skills
  • Must be proficient in spoken and written English
  • Some travel to Finland required
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in Embedded Software Engineering, Computer Science Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field
  • Must possess at least 5 years embedded software design development experience
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and specifications
  • Experience with software development lifecycle
  • Experience with requirements management, software configuration management and test management tools
  • Capable of performing FMEAs at the component and system level
  • Good knowledge of C programming language
  • Agile programming abilities
  • Experience with I2C, RS485, SPI, CAN communication protocols
  • Experience with Cortex M1, Cortex M3 processors
  • Knowledge or experience with data analytics
