It is the responsibility of the Field Marketing Manager to drive for aggressive, profitable growth of the Dell Client product lines (notebooks, tablets, desktops, software and peripherals) by combining all elements of the marketing mix, leveraging Dell sales, marketing and reporting resources across the organization to meet Dell’s business objectives in a particular country.
The Field Marketing Sr. Advisor will be seen as the trusted advisor within the organization for his/her assigned country & product and solutions set(s) and most importantly, should proactively ensure that Client Solution products, services and solutions are promoted and sold.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop a thorough understanding of the local market (Market share, Competitor activity, Price Banding trends) and share insights with Sales by assisting with key strategic RFP responses and providing client expertise in-country
- Ensure in-country product and competitive knowledge (local market insights) by training and communicating all critical points to sales during the product lifecycle
- Provide subject matter expertise to Dell account teams with key customer and partner engagements
- Support Marketing-led customer and product-related events
- Analyze, report regularly on, and proactively drive actions to keep performance in line with forecasts for Client lines of business
- Communicate any list price or cost moves that may affect Dell’s market position in-country and provide input to the central Pricing team on pricing strategy
- Support external brand and market development for Client Solutions products and solutions via PR and press contacts and work with in-country marketing colleagues to put together in-country launch plans for new product launches
- Product knowledge on Dell and competitor client product line
- Strong communication skills (including presentations to groups) and a proven track record in interfacing with customers
- Demonstrated business management skills through effective planning, organization of daily work schedule and achievement of assigned targets and objectives
- Experience in using various available resources to drive and motivate those around you towards achieving a common goal, including Sales executives
