Role:
The successful candidate will have exposure to developing complex web applications through the full stack. As well as creating UI experiences that are clear and simple for the end user, they will also be comfortable working deeper in the stack building APIs, implementing business logic, and working with complicated data sets.
They will be enthusiastic and self motivated and willing to adapt to the constantly changing demands of an agile commercial-focused environment. Their experience to date will have exposed them to current web application methodologies and technology and given them a solid grounding in the development of robust, performance solutions.
Duties will include:
- Translating high-level product designs into clean, error-free code
- Collaborating with other team members to arrive at solutions to business requirements
- Contributing to best practice for the ongoing development and improvement of existing code
Required skills:
- 2+ years experience developing full stack web applications
- Front-end knowledge - HTML, CSS (including Less or Sass and Twitter BootStrap), JavaScript, jQuery
- C# ASP.NET (or similar e.g. VB.NET, Ruby, Python, PHP)
- SQL Server (or similar e.g. MySQL, Oracle, etc.)
- Experience working with JavaScript Frameworks like Backbone.js, Angular.js, Ember.js, SignalR
- Working with and development of REST based JSON APIs
- Knowledge of UI/UX best practices and methodologies
- Strong analysis and problem solving abilities
Highly desirable:
- Experience working with mobile web applications and responsive design
- Use of extended Javascript eco-system and build tools similar to Grunt, Yeoman, Bower, Node.js
- Exposure to test driven development and test automation (such as Cucumber, SpecFlow, Jasmine, Selenium, Karma)
- Exposure of working in an Agile development environment
- Backend experience with MVC frameworks / design patterns (for example .NET MVC, NancyFX, Ruby on Rails, Spring MVC, Grails, Django)
