Do you have a proven track record in a complex network operations environment? Do you have what it takes to be responsible for the network tool monitoring development? We're looking for someone like that to:
– provide governance and administration of critical network monitoring tools including HPNA, Smarts, SevOne, Juniper JSA, Space, ACS, Radius, TACACS, Citrix, McAfee, Splunk and Fluke
– develop threshold and policy controls for our critical network devices
– improve network stability by providing monitoring tools that increases the visibility and proactive control over our critical network health
– collaborate with network engineers on system tuning and enhancements of these network tools
– create and manage service support models and run books for the network tools
– provide detailed documentation
You have:
– at least 5 years’ experience working in a complex network operations environment, including experience working on global projects
– demonstrated skills working as part of a team responsible for monitoring and proactively managing the data, voice, and security traffic flowing across domestic and global networks environments
– proven know-how with Cisco/Juniper network technology and services/protocols
– knowledge of IP multicasting
– expertise with networking protocols relevant to the internet or intranet (HTTP, SSL, DNS, BGP, OSPF, etc.)
– Linux/UNIX, XP and Windows 7 experience, including any network-related applications
You are:
– a skilled communicator, able to explain complex technical issues and resolutions
– able to interact with carriers, vendors and internal departments with ease (you have great people skills)
– fluent with network switches, routers, firewalls and other critical network devices. This includes a solid understanding of VLAN, ICMP, MIBS, SMTP, ITIL, CMDB and IPv4 by heart
