Project Management Officer

Responsibilites
- Updating the central ASCA tracker which includes all applications in scope. This involves refreshing base data on a periodic and ongoing basis from various sources
- Using the central tracker to produce metrics and reports to show application portfolio status and progress through identification and addressing of issues
- Supporting Release Management decisions based on data collected in the tracker
- This is a broad and challenging role that requires a combination of business applications and technical ability as well as interpersonal skills. The scope of the process covers Group IT
- The role will also include involvement in specifying and testing within that project to deliver further improvements to the tool
- Other responsibilities will be defined as required to meet the ongoing needs of the ASCA function
Requirements
- Fluent in English and comfortable to work with a globally distributed team.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong ability to manage a complex process involving a large volume of data and people involved.
- Reasonable understanding of IT platforms, languages and application types used in financial services.
- Understanding of ITIL processes, specifically Change management
- Well structured, very reliable and dedicated.
- Understanding of project lifecycle and experience of working to project timelines
- Be a self-starter, show initiative and a strong sense of ownership.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Proficient Microsoft Excel user, preferably with the skills to automate some of the technical steps using macros and Excel formula
- University Degree in a relevant subject, (e.g. IT, engineering, maths, finance etc).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to adapt to different audiences and working styles / backgrounds in a global and diverse team.
- Flexibility and ability to define and implement pragmatic solutions under pressure where required.
- Experience in working on large and complex projects in financial services is a plus
- Good understanding of banking products and process as well as IT risk management, audit and regulation would be useful.
We offer
You will be working within the Application Security Compliance Assurance (ASCA) Team to run and improve the ASCA function. This includes maintaining the central application status tracker, performing periodic tasks to validate and update data within the tracker, producing metrics based on the data and provide management information on request.
