Supplier Risk Management Specialist is responsible for managing supplier insurance as a member of IP Global Sourcing organization.
In this role you will work with IP buyers, U.S. suppliers, independent insurance companies, third party service provider (EBIX), and other internal IP contacts (i.e. Legal or Risk Management departments) to assure a high level of supplier insurance compliance with International Paper’s requirements. All tasks will be performed exclusively in English with the U.S. stakeholders across all IP businesses. Working hours are from 10AM – 6 PM.
This role is an ideal position to gain knowledge about Global Sourcing process and supplier risk management. The role offers significant exposure to manufacturing services in paper mills and in smaller box/recycling/foodservice plants. It and allows you to get experienced in supplier risk evaluation in the industrial environment.
Supplier Risk Management Specialist role should be interesting to a highly motivated individual with a strong desire to learn and participate in a new and evolving process. Supplier Risk Management Specialist role builds competences such as: communication and negotiation skills, supplier management, risk management plus understanding of the paper making process and sourcing in this industry.
- Lead supplier communication regarding obligatory insurance provided to International Paper;
- Coordinate insurance negotiations between suppliers and purchasing/sourcing personnel
- Work with Legal and Risk Management departments to provide purchasing personnel with supplier insurance consultancy
- Support paper mill annual outages by ensuring all identified vendors are compliant;
- Review IP contracts with suppliers and provide IP buyers with consultancy regarding U.S. insurance requirements
- Execute administration activities associated with your suppliers, ensuring accuracy of our system (EBIX) - update contacts, status reports, exceptions documentation, and all needed data maintenance
- Implement centralized supplier insurance process to IP facilities that still remain on legacy process (about 100 sites)
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
