Technical Lead Developer (JS & RoR)

Requirements:

• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience
• A minimum of 4 years Ruby experience including Rails, Sinatra, RSpec
• A minimum of 4 years JavaScript experience, including Coffeescript and test frameworks
• Client‐side MVC experience with ampersand.js, react or backbone.js
• Significant experience with REST APIs
• Significant experience with relational DBs (MySQL/Postgres) & query tuning for performance
• Experience with SASS or LESS
• Comfortable as both a team leader and strong individual contributor
• 3+ years in previous roles involving team leadership / mentorship
• Experience testing & debugging complex apps both server and client‐side
• Comfortable with cloud‐based deployment (AWS)
• Understand security best‐practices for modern web apps
• Experience working in a *nix environment
• Experience working with remote teams
• Git savvy

Desired Skills:

• Data visualization experience (D3.js, cubism.js, dynamic charting, SVG)
• Extensive experience with API design
• Familiarity with best practices for responsive design
• Experience with Mobile Development
• Experience with Cassandra or Redis
• Go or Python experience
