As a Web Developer you are expected to participate in the production of front-end web applications, both in interaction design as well as development. Strong PHP skills and extensive experience in E-Commerce are heavily desired for the maintenance and improvement of legacy web applications as well as for the development of new web solution.
A major plus is the wish to grow more on web design and gradually take the role as a lead front-end web developer, while making it possible to slowly phase out current legacy web applications.
You will both be part of existing agile-based teams as a web developer, as well as taking over the maintenance of legacy PHP applications and part of the DEV Ops team.
Each project will require various technical skills hence well-rounded, experienced and adaptable individual. The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years of experience in e-commerce development.
- 6+ years of experience developing solutions in PHP
- Extensive experience in User Interaction Front End design
- Strong knowledge of open source CMS platforms (Joomla, Wordpress, Hippo, Drupal etc...) and ability to develop plugins and customize themes
- Capable of interpreting use case/user stories and developing aligned functions
- Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP services, Javascript and PHP.
- Experience in developing HTML5, CSS3, JQuery and responsive web design based applications
- Strong database skills (SQL/Oracle/PostgreSQL) is a plus.
- Wish to grow more in a general Web Development/Design role.
- Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills, and ability to work within and adapt to a dynamic working environment
- Strong ability to work quickly under pressure, delivering quality work within tight deadlines
- Flexibility and the ability to learn quickly in various technical and creative requirements.
- Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
