Webinterpret is a leading e-commerce SaaS solution that helps facilitate cross-border trade. Its operations center is in Warsaw, Poland, and headquarters in Sophia Antipolis, France. Over the last year, Webinterpret has grown by more than 300% and it shows no signs of slowdown.
To support this growth, we are looking for a self-motivated and experienced Web Developer who will lead redesign and further development of our web site.
The successful candidate for the position will demonstrate a readiness to design, implement, and deliver a scalable and high performance technology stack on WordPress, including valuable new publishing tools that support WebInterpret's business goals and needs. First and foremost, the candidate needs to be enthusiastic and talented in developing solutions for WordPress and work with marketing, business stakeholders, product marketing and development teams to meet company’s objectives.
- Develop and maintain the publishing software powering WebInterpret's website on Wordpress
- Maintain a current understanding of relevant technologies as they arise and leverage them in providing innovative solutions
- Develop solutions for all leading display resolutions via a responsive design approach that accounts for mobile handset and tablet user interfaces
- Annotate and document code consistently and coherently
- Collaborate with internal development teams to integrate customer registration, onboarding, and development documentation
- Implement and optimize landing pages as part of an on-going test and learn approach based on AB tests
- Fluent English
- Strong fundamental programming skills in and ongoing learning of writing PHP code, working with CSS, Javascript, and emerging UI frameworks
- Familiar with growth / marketing requirements : SEO, tracking, conversion, data collection…
- Conscious, intentional design and development for the ever-evolving mobile device array
- Easy adaptation to WordPress development best practices and standards
- Strong familiarity with Git and SVN repositories
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment or work independently
- Ability to follow direction, eagerly absorb and adapt to constructive feedback, and remain open to the ideas of others
- Strong communication and time management skills
- 1-2 years or more of professional experience as a web developer
- Experience developing websites using HTML for structure and CSS for style
- Experience with PHP is a plus
- Experience with Photoshop is a plus
- Experience creating enhanced user-interfaces using JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery, ReactJS, AngularJS a plus
- Familiarity with responsive web development
- Experience building custom WordPress themes and plug-ins and using the WordPress API
- B.A. or B.S. Degree. Strong candidates with significant work experience but no formal education will
also be considered
