Job overview:
Business Analyst based in Warsaw, Poland, will be a member of Global Business IT ECM (Enterprise Content Management) team, working in close relationship with other team members based in Switzerland, Poland and India.
The key focus of ECM team is to deliver high quality global solutions supporting internal users in various areas, ranging from corporate Intranet, through eRecruitment system, ending up with a customer facing public website.
In this position, you will work on a daily basis with the rest of global ECM organization as well as internal users - our customers.
You will have a great chance to enhance existing and implement new standards in the area of requirement engineering and business process modeling done as part of our internal service delivery.
You will hold the responsibility for successful and complete inception of business requirements, making sure they are clear, prioritized and well understood by both business and IT world. Test cases created by you based on requirements will guarantee that our internal QA as well as User Acceptance Test show nothing else but green.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the rest of ECM team on ongoing pipeline of business demand
- Capture requirements for new or enhanced functionalities
- Perform prototyping sessions to improve requirement collection process
- Ensure that motivation and identified requirements are properly captured:
1. Handle requirements via the release management process
2. Making sure requirements collected are sound and fitting overall system architecture
3. Translate and simplify requirements so that they are well understood by Business and the IT
4. Manage expectations with business (impact, timeline, complexity, quality, bandwidth)
5. Ensure that level of detail is sufficient and eventually accepted by business
- Advise to business users on best practices and new capabilities
- Create and manage test cases corresponding to requirements where applicable
- Support business users in fine-tuning, modelling and simplifying business processes
- Participate in and contribute to ECM internal process and solutions improvements
- Continuous focus on improving business documentation quality
- Travel occasionally, 10-15%
Qualifications:
- IT Professional with 5yrs+ experience working in a globally distributed team in a similar position
- Fluent spoken and written English. Fluency in German is a plus but not required
- Strong business analysis skills, preferably within IT and business process management
- Good working knowledge of infrastructure and application architecture with focus on SharePoint 2013, Drupal CMS and SaaS solutions
- Knowledge on application development processes including thorough knowledge of IT service management concepts (ITIL) being a plus
- Experience with TFS (Team Foundation Server, Task and Source Code Management) is a plus
- Ability to get and maintain in-depth understanding of ECM solutions (capabilities) in both functional and technical areas, providing best possible advisory to business
- Familiar with prototyping tools like Balsamiq or similar is a plus
- Strong negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills
- Strong cultural awareness and works well across different cultures
- Ability to promote a team environment
