About you:
- strong interest in the food service industry and a willingness to gain extensive competence in food service issues such as HAACP
- experience in managing people and managing gastronomy min. 3 years
- passion for food and people
- ability to work at the strategic, tactical and operational level
- experience in managing co-workers successfully
- customer focus
- creativity and independence
- knowledge about food market and competitors and ability to speak and understand verbal and written English
- mobility and readiness to accept new challenges in IKEA organization in future like IKEA FOOD Manager
About the job:
Commercial Swedish Food Market & Bistro Manager leads and manages the IKEA Swedish Food Market and IKEA Bistro to fulfil the purpose of function by building business and people together. He/She ensures IKEA Food contributes to creating a positive final impression for store visitors that both enhances Swedishness and gives them an appealing welcome back offer.
About the assignment:
- lead and manage the IKEA FOOD Swedish Food Market and Bistro team
- ensure profitability within function, focused both on sales steering and increasing sales and on reducing overall operating costs without impacting on level of service to the customers and food safety standards
- support co-workers so they can carry out the IKEA FOOD concept to improve store traffic, strengthen the low-price and Swedish identity of the IKEA store
- contribute to a positive final impression and ensure an appealing welcome back offer to our store visitors. Focus on our customers, monitor customer satisfaction and improve service level
- as a member of the IKEA FOOD management team cooperate and bring functional specialist knowledge to this group to achieve the function objectives
- maintain basic knowledge of the local restaurant market and in-depth knowledge of the competition on the market to create short and long-term goals, especially to secure the appropriate price distance
