You will be responsible for analyzing engineering problems in Radio Area. You will screen problems reported by internal testing teams and Nokia's customers. Your job will be to understand the problem and its impact on a customer, identify the root cause and a culprit Software Component, and propose a possible workaround.
We will provide you with a comprehensive training on our product, analysis techniques and internal tools. You will work in an international team of Fault Analysts and in a close cooperation with testers, software developers, software architects and customer teams. Your daily tasks will include the following activities:
- analyzing incoming problem reports
- validating raised tickets against the product requirements
- finding root causes of actual problems
- driving investigation of complex issues
- propose workarounds
- Internal ticketing tool and jira
- Requirements management systems
- Logs and traces analyzers
- Packet analyzers (e.g. wireshark)
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Software Technology or equivalent education
- ability to work with specification (knowledge of UML sequence diagrams or any equivalent notation)
- basic knowledge of wireless technologies (e.g. LTE, WCDMA, GSM) or computer networks (e.g. TCP/IP)
- previous experience with any programming or scripting in any language will be the advantage
