The role is supporting the Finance Teams of the respective entities in conducting a broad array of their accounting processes, including the month end close and other GL activities.
This role is ideal for a candidate looking for a broad foundation in General Ledger and Management Accounting commensurate with pursuing a formal accounting qualification.
The role gives great opportunity to develop knowledge and practical skills on a path to senior position in finance (e.g. Controller).
- Support accounting and analytical by providing information on business performance and projects
- Perform accurate calculations and recording of transactions in compliance with (US GAAP) and accounting policies
- Prepare and record month-end processing (calculate and record accruals, calculate inventory fluctuations, validate sales revenue levels) supporting the local Controllers
- Review Balance Sheet account reconciliations for approval by Local Finance leadership and co-ordinate with internal and external auditors as required
- Design, communicate and implement accounting activity process optimization and standardization projects
- Be involved in the migration of planned accounting activities to the team in Krakow, including shadowing activities on site
- Coordinate and communicate the necessary training for local plants and manage the change of process
- Implement the centralized solution and appropriate documenting of the process using process maps and procedures
- Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent
- At least 4 years of experience in the area of accounting in international company - good understanding and preferably some experience in AP and/or AR plus 1-2 years experience in GL
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and applications such as SAP
- Processes migration or project management experience - be an asset
- CIMA or ACCA courses (completed or in progress) or equivalent would be beneficial
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate and collaborate with all levels of our organization
- Good team working skills
- Good command of English and Italian - a must
