GL Accountant - Improvement Process Specialist
Job location: Kraków

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a well-established international company. We are looking for an GL Accountant who also will fulfill a role of improvement process specialist in this area.
Responsibilities :
Responsibilities :
- Calculation and posting of complex manual business transactions in accordance with local work instructions
- Reconciliation of defined GL accounts
- Preparation and calculation of internal recharging to other group companies
- Assist in preparation of domestic VAT returns
- Conduct ad-hoc reporting and prepare audit files
- Contribute to General Ledger process improvement initiatives
- Designing tools for internal controls
- Actively identify and deliver improvement projects in F&A area at the local site and across the wider international business, drawing on practical experience, industry best practice and knowledge
- Supporting business in identifying projects and quantifying opportunities for process improvement
- Constant analysis and improvement of all processes in search for quality, efficiency and standardization
- Data gathering and reports preparation
Requirements:
- Experience of working within General Ledger processes, or other core financial processes, within a complex, large volume environment
- Strong numeracy and administration skills
- Solid financial acumen, financial analysis and diagnosis skills
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Very good written and spoken English skills
- Very good knowledge of MS Excel (VBA would be an advantage)
- Very good working knowledge of SAP
