The HR Business Partner's (Automotive HR) primary responsibility is providing comprehensive HR service to all staff within the NextGear Capital organization. This role will serve as an employee advocate to address employee concerns in an efficient manner. This position will develop and implement initiatives and provide leadership within the HR department and organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop a work environment of open, honest and direct conversation that will instill confidence and credibility by actively engaging with the workforce.
- Work closely with leaders and other members of the HR leadership team to facilitate and implement HR strategy in alignment with the organization's business strategy to achieve success.
- Ensure that employee relations matters are managed effectively and proactively throughout the departments.
- Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation and work with managers and employees to ensure HR policies and programs are being adhered to.
- Develop, coordinate and execute on various HR programs and initiatives including but not limited to Performance Management, Talent Review, Succession Planning, Employee Engagement, and Recognition and Retention to ensure effectiveness, compliance and equity within the organization.
- Lead and champion management development programs ensuring continued success as the company grows leadership talent.
- Support and facilitate effective recruitment and retention strategies.
- Track and analyze HR key metrics to identify trends (e.g., employee retention) and work with managers and HR team to ensure effective utilization of talent.
- Work with other members of the leadership team to facilitate and implement business strategies to achieve success.
- Assists recruiters by helping managers fill staffing positions, attends job fairs, develops and implement strategic initiatives for recruiting diverse talent.
- Plans and conducts full new employee orientation to foster an engaged workforce. Holds orientation for corporate and for field employees.
- Coordinates and facilitates management training in the understanding of human resource areas such as interviewing, hiring, terminations, coaching, performance reviews and development plans.
- Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
Candidate Profile

- Bachelor's degree or higher in human resources or related field or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of Human Resources (HR) experience required
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment required
- Experience providing HR support to sales organizations is preferable.
- Experience in employee development, training and career development programs and change management and understanding of organization design is critical.
- Strong Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, SAP skills required.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times.
- Critical thinking and verbal and written skills is essential.
