You will be a part of the Global Sourcing organization that is dedicated to leveraging the volumes of International Paper regarding procurement of MRO (maintenance, repair and operations) products, packaging materials and services for production in IP European Paper, IP Russia and EMEA Packaging.
You will be responsible for negotiation of cost effective procurement contracts for all IP EMEA facilities.

- Negotiate and cooperate with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries of MRO products in accordance with IP EMEA facilities’ requirements
- Proactively seek cost reduction through research, communication and planning as well as through applying effective purchasing techniques
- Draw out and implement TCO programs with vendors for better supply chain solutions and benefit of both – mill/plant and its suppliers
- Provide IP manufacturing facilities with detailed and timely information about terms and conditions of procurement contracts
- Serve as liaison between the mill/plant and suppliers
- Collect and analyze MRO purchases IP EMEA-wide
- Manage relationship with existing suppliers and seek new opportunities
- Seek cost improvements in purchased products
- Correlate data with underlying market drivers
- Assist with data entry and compliance reporting
- Support contracts’ implementations
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Management, Accounting, Finance or Economics - preferred
- Professional experience in corporate purchasing role is required. Alternatively experience in sales combined with anticipated skills for purchasing
- Analytical skills, as well as negotiation skills
- Experience with MS office tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to communicate in French, Polish, Spanish, Italian or Russian – would be benefitial
- Experience in the paper industry or related area – as an advantage
- Experience with SAP/BW - as an advantage
- Ability to travel - requirement up to 40%
