We are looking for a talented SQA Engineer to join Avid’s Platform Engineering Team for a full time position. You will be responsible for the platform team’s component acceptance testing and delivery, manual and automated testing of the Media Central platform Search Services.
The main focus will be the management and execution of our on-premise MC|UX platform testing. This includes manual testing, both acceptance and regression. It also includes test automation, performance testing, as well as a helping to improve our existing automation frameworks to support and help deliver our latest platform components into our on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
You will become part of an excellent team of motivated engineers, software QA, and product managers. You will be working in a highly efficient and creative agile/scrum environment. Experience in software deployment and virtualization, service orientated architecture, continuous integration and an understanding of software testing and test automation best practices is a must.

- Active participation in designing, implementation and execution of functional, fault, regression and performance tests, test results analysis, tracking test coverage and performance trends
- Maintaining and contributing to Test Framework
- Requirements analysis and proactive communications with development and team
- 4+ years of experience in QA, Automation
- Strong understanding of test theory
- Good experience with Java language
- Strong experience with test automation and automation frameworks (TestNG, JUnit)
- Experience with UI automated testing tool (Selenium, WebDriver)
- Good knowledge of Unix based systems (CentOS, Redhat is a plus)
- Experience with bash scripting
- Experience with Docker
- Experience with Elasticsearch
- Good communication skills – work with globally distributed team
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, proactive and innovative
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Delivery tools (Jenkins/Hudson) (and its plugins)
- Experience with Git
- Basic knowledge of Groovy is a plus
