To support the Group Tax team in providing tax advice and meeting Tax compliance obligations across the Group.
Accountabilities
• To support the Tax compliance global process lead and the Group Direct Tax team.
• Manage the collation of information for input into the Group’s corporate income tax returns; analyse transactions where required; prepare draft corporate income tax returns for review
• Prepare on a monthly basis the current and deferred tax charge for the full year forecast and the effective tax rate
• Prepare corporate income tax instalment payment calculations for the Group
• Prepare quarterly balance sheet reconciliations for deferred and current tax accounts
• Preparation of the tax note in individual entities statutory accounts under local GAAP, FRS 101 and IFRS.
• Local corporate income tax compliance preparation for the Polish entity and liaison with local Tax authority where appropriate
• Ad-hoc project work as required

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree or accounting qualification
• A Tax qualification is desirable
Skills
• Self-starter who has the ability to work alone and as part of a cross functional team; with excellent interpersonal skills to influence and build relationships with stakeholders
• Excellent analytical skills; experience of using excel formulae to manipulate large volumes of data is desirable
• Highly computer literate with the ability to develop knowledge where required and work around legacy systems (General Ledger system etc.)
• Ability to prioritize workload and deliver deadlines
• Ability to pro-actively identify risk and areas of improvement in day to day activities
• Spanish language is desirable but not essential
Experience
• 1-3 years of direct tax experience
• Preparation of corporate income tax returns
• Working knowledge of deferred tax accounting and experience of forecasting current and deferred tax charges
• Statutory reporting of direct tax under IFRS and local GAAP
