Procurement Shared Services Center (PSSC) based in Łódź, Poland, is part of global Philips Procurement. Under the umbrella of Royal Philips, Philips Procurementmanages and performs sourcing and procurement activities for (indirect) goods and services for Philips.
PSSC acts on behalf of the Philips businesses, handling every step in the purchasing process – from demand analysis to final delivery. PSSC delivers value added services by leveraging economies of scale, globalizing processes and simplifying the ways of working, while delivering superior purchasing experiences by listening and acting on our customers’ feedback.
Your challenge:

Acting as member of and supporting the Purchasing clusters keeping relations with suppliers and stakeholders, providing tactical and operational support like supplier analysis, RFI, RFQ, operational issues resolution, Payment Terms, cost analysis etc.

Acting as a liaison between global procurement team and local businesses (managing internal and external communication)

Implementing strategies and performing end to end purchasing cycle demand, face to face contact with suppliers

Participating in the development & deployment of the overall Philips Purchasing policy and ‘one page’ strategy throughout the respective clusters

Achieve maximum performance by actively using the sourcing network, respectively by bringing local requirements into the Clusters and/or Commodity/Market Teams

Spend compliance and savings reporting
Your key responsibilities:
- Managing relationship with the customers and stakeholders proactively, leading communication related to service in scope also outside the team
- Monitoring performance, quality of the process and initiate improvements related to the area of responsibility
- Dealing with service scope changes / amendments
- Participating actively in projects within and outside PSSC scope
- Providing insightful reports, analysis and recommendations within given procurement scope
- Orders and new suppliers creation requests processing in the system
- Participating actively and supporting definition and deployment of the Commodity Strategy
- Participating in and leading purchasing projects (e.g. tenders preparation and execution, e-Sourcing projects, providing content analysis, RFQ & RFI preparation, analyzing supplier proposals, negotiating and closing contracts)
- Implementing contracts that provide sourcing solutions at the lowest total cost, in cooperation with customers and internal clients on sites on global/national/regional commodity level
- Contract preparation and maintenance; providing recommendations
We are looking for people with:
- Graduate with Bachelor or master degree
- Fluent English is a must (both orally and in writing)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within Sourcing/Procurement or Project area
- Minimum 1 year experience in contracting and negotiations with suppliers
- Procurement experience and expertise (incl. Cluster and market knowledge), preferably in the area of: HR or Business Strategic Services commodities
- Ability to inspire commitment, arrange, communicate and influence virtually
- Procurement experience and expertise (incl. Cluster and market knowledge) will be an advantage
- Negotiation and influencing skills; convincing power

- Self-driven and pro-active, able to work independently in virtual environment

- Developed analytical thinking skills with an eye for detail
- Computer literacy essential and experience in MS office applications (excellent command of MS Excel is a must)
