System Engineer

Job description
As the first technical contact person from the development side, you are responsible for the development of the software within time and budget and with required quality in order to ensure the project launch. You evaluate the customer requirements and translate them into system requirements which are maintained in DOORS. Similarly, you evaluate the impact of any changes in the requirement on the software and hardware in cooperation with the responsible hardware engineer. You analyse and track any occurring defects in the internal error management system. During the entire project will you provide the required documentation, like development progress reports, error status reports, software release documentation and change documentation, plus customer specific reports. You ensure the quality of the project by executing system tests in the system test environment. At all times will you ensure that the Nippon Seiki business targets are achieved by maintaining customer satisfaction and realizing continuous improvement of the product value and process efficiency.
Requirements
- University degree in engineering, preferably electrical engineering, or an equivalent qualification
- At least 2 years of work experience in automotive or embedded industry environment
- Experience with the development of embedded software or control units
- Knowledge of Automotive SPICE, CMMI-DEV and AUTOSAR is considered as an advantage
- Affinity with communication buses like CAN, LIN, MOST and related development tools is a plus
- Experience with requirements management tooling (e.g. DOORS, Mantis, JIRA)
- Good command of the English language, both written and spoken
- Very good communication and mediation skills on different organizational levels
