About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Java System Reliability Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Java programming, system engineering, and cyber security.
- Cyber Security Remediation: You will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and remediating any cyber security threats or vulnerabilities within our system. This includes implementing security patches, updating security protocols, and ensuring the system's overall security integrity is maintained,
- OS Upgrades: You will oversee operating system upgrades, ensuring they are executed smoothly and efficiently, with minimal disruption to the system and its users,
- Framework Upgrades: You will handle framework upgrades, ensuring the compatibility and stability of the system after each upgrade,
- Level 0 INC Triage: You will be responsible for initial incident triage, identifying the severity of incidents, coordinating with the appropriate teams, and ensuring incidents are resolved in a timely manner,
- Deployment Prep Administration: You will prepare and manage the deployment of software releases, ensuring all necessary checks and balances are in place,
- Lower Environment Resiliency Support/Issues/Outages: You will provide support for lower environment resiliency, addressing any issues or outages that may occur, and implementing solutions to prevent future occurrences,
- DevOps Support: You will provide support to our DevOps team, assisting in the development and maintenance of our continuous integration and delivery pipelines,
- Dev Tools Updates: You will manage updates to development tools, ensuring they are compatible with our system and meet the needs of our developers,
- AD/SQL Account Maintenance: You will manage Active Directory and SQL accounts, ensuring they are properly maintained and secure,
- Lower Environment Data Cleanup: You will oversee the cleanup of data in lower environments, ensuring data integrity and system efficiency.
- Proven experience as a Java System Reliability Engineer or similar role,
- Strong knowledge of Java programming and system engineering principles,
- Knowledge of cyber security best practices and remediation techniques,
- Experience with OS and framework upgrades,
- Familiarity with incident management and triage processes,
- Experience with deployment administration and DevOps support,
- Knowledge of AD and SQL account maintenance,
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail,
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
