The Global Architecture and Delivery Processes (GADP) group is looking for highly motivated and self-driven individuals to take the lead on customer integration of new products and services related to the Software Defined Data Centre portfolio during pilots and early production deployments. Reflecting the trend of increased convergence at the infrastructure level, the position requires knowledge across networks, servers, storage and infrastructure orchestration/automation. The ability to work closely with other parts of GADP, GD global service architects and vendor SMEs to accelerate the industrialisation of pilot activities is also required. Reporting to the Pilot Program Director, the role will provide ample room for development and “learning by doing” as part of a multi-disciplinary team”.
Key responsabilities:
- Take the technical lead to plan and deploy new pilots for customers in line with MS standard portfolio
- Coordinates GD towers technical resources required for the delivery of successful pilots
- Coordinate with the customer technical resources to ensure successful integration of the new product/service into existing customer environments
- Understand customer requirements for the pilot and design/translate/produce required pilot specific artefacts as per MS standard pilot methodology
- Contribute towards the development and industrialisation of technical services (old & new services) including engineering and proof of technology activities to support new product development (SOLD) as required
- Engage and manage partner technical resources as part of the pilot programs
- Provide continuous feedback to the development team on products and services on the basis of executed pilots and customer interactions
- Provide training sessions to ensure wide communication of MS pilot methodology including available artefacts
- Acts as 3rd level support for GD towers during pilots
- Maintains GADP SharePoint and blueKiwi collaboration spaces, in particular Atos Technical Reference Library
- Keeps abreast of key technology developments through collaboration with GADP development teams, strategic vendors and attending industry events and training as required
- Recognized technical expertise in 2 technology domains (networks, storage, virtualization) with a minimum of 5 years experience
- Detailed knowledge of architecture and features of technologies under domain of expertise
- Vendor certification in the two selected technology domains
- Track record working in a global role with emphasis on collaborative working
- Ability to take the initiative, make decisions and subsequently drive the execution, including the coordination of globally dispersed teams
- Good knowledge of MS structure, tower operations and MS portfolio
- A reasonable level of planning and reporting skills as well as the wiliness to learn new technologies
- Familiarity with DevOps principles and tools
