BI Senior Software Engineer (Cognos)

Your new company
Our client is a division of the German logistics company providing international express mail services. It is the world's largest logistics company operating around the world.

Your new role
Within the new role you will be responsible for analyzing BI reporting application requirements. What is more you would develop and validate the application design (Cognos, J2EE). Your new role involves supporting the data warehouse (Teradata, Oracle) design (logical/physical modeling, and ETL development) and developing and uniting test semantic layers, reports, and GUIs. One of your accountability would be also to participate in hardware design, sizing and migrations projects.

What you’ll need to succeed
Relevant BI experience of 4-5 years at least (Cognos, with combination of Teradata knowledge) is a must. You should also have good background and extensive experience in BI reporting development and knowledge of BI best practices and access layer modeling. Our client also requires in depth knowledge of Business Intelligence Reporting tools (Cognos) as well as in depth knowledge of the Cognos application development and testing methodology. Previous experience with Scope, Communication, Financial and Risk Management practices, as well as Project Lifecycle methodologies will be highly beneficial.
