Description

The Customer Care Projects/Products Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the regionally based UOP projects/products customer care team. Responsibilities will include staffing, enforcing policies, organizing department resources for most effective business coverage, directly managing team members, controlling quality, improving team productivity, and managing change.

Direct leadership of regional UOP projects/products customer care team. Ensure that new employees are properly trained. Assist team members in improving their technical and communication skills. Lead regular tier meetings and monthly staff meeting, including monthly audit review for regional team. Work with other regional team leaders to ensure proper long term staffing by periodic review of team work loads and cross training efforts. Responsibility for staffing efforts and decisions within the region Customer Care team. Lead regional efforts on business continuity testing. Ensure Customer Care personnel are equipped with appropriate tools and ergonomics; manage requests for team office supplies by ensuring process is in place for non-standard requests. Provide monthly metrics on the Projects/Products Customer Care team's performance to management. Provide input to regional customer care team budgets and census forecasts. Troubleshoot any invoice, delivery and payment issues with the Customer Care team, Credit Dept. and UOP's customers as necessary.

Work closely with the Customer Care Excellence Team to suggest and implement improvements to the order processing work flow in order to receive, enter, and execute customer orders as quickly, accurately and efficiently as possible. Monitor order processing work to ensure that the project customer care team is in compliance with GAAP and SOX requirements. Work closely with Regional Customer Care Leader/Manager and Regional Product Customer Care Supervisor to improve End-To-End Cycle Time (ETECT) and continuously drive productivity improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required.

Preferred Qualifications:

5+ years of applicable experience in a customer care and order processing environment. Demonstrated experience in progressively more challenging and responsible roles. Relentless internal and external customer focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Experience in chemical industry highly desirable. Strong SAP skills. Ability to jump in and help process orders to effectively level load the work to be completed by the team.

Six Sigma Green Belt certification within one year of hire. Strong analytical and solid comprehensive problem solving skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to work collaboratively with numerous internal functional areas. Integrity and strong focus on compliance with internal standards and policies desired. Strong business partnering and team building skills. Ability to apply intuition, experience and judgment to available data to make sound business decisions. Ability to drive process improvements and deliver on commitments.
