CFO Technology is looking for a Senior Developer / Tech Lead for the Opera DAL Accounting Subledgers Application Development team in Wroclaw, with strong technical skills in Oracle PL-SQL, Informatica ETL, Unix and familiarity of Agile development practices.
Opera / DAL is a sub ledger and P&L generating system for many types of Structured / Non- Structured , Single /Multi Legged products and its feeds data to Ledger, Regulatory and P&L reporting systems. The system receives over 300+ feeds from many upstream systems and processes over 40 Million records every day and across 3 regions. It also supports adjustment functionality using which product controls post Journals to fix upstream DQ issues.
Team: The Wroclaw Accouting Subledgers team is relatively new and currently comprises 4 developers (2 Java, 2 Oracle/ETL), and 1 platform services/DBA support - supported by a small team of Business Analysts.
This role supplements a growth plan for the Wroclaw ASL team where we plan to approximately double the size of the team.
Overall there is a global footprint to the ASL team, with its 100+ members spread across London, New York, Raleigh, Singapore, Pune & Bangalore.
- Perform leading roles which includes:
o Review requirements, prepare/contribute to design decisions, Solution, coding and code review design & testing strategy
o Participate in development & manage book of work delivery of project along with vendor team
o Interface with Business Analysts, QAs and PMs
o Co-ordinate and manage the integration and UAT phase
o Ensure resolution of any issues / defects
o Reporting and status updates on projects
o Level-3 Support / performance tuning
- Participate in development tasks including
o Writing transformation and mappings in Informatica PowerCenter 10.1.1
o Development of Unix shell scripts to control the operation of data loading processes
o Building Oracle PL/SQL Views, Stored Procedures and ad-hoc queries
o Design of the overall data sourcing framework and process working closely with the upstream / downstream application teams.
o Be an active scrum participant & in full control of their own backlog
- Ensure quality of our delivery by using process standardization and best DevOps practices
- To become SME for Strategic Sub-ledger Operational Data store components
- University degree level (preferably in IT)
- 3 years of experience in analysis, design and development of applications in financial services industry
- Prior experience in an investment bank (Finance domain) preferred
- Technical:
o Extensive hands-on technical expertise on Informatica PowerCenter
o Strong knowledge of SQL Overrides
o Knowledge of Batch processing, Scheduling in Control-M
o Experience in high-volume ETL/ Batch processing & database performance tuning
o Conversant with Unix like OS & shell scripting
o Troubleshooting experience a must.
o Experience and in-depth understanding of software development lifecycle from requirements to testing and release and production / L3 support
o Exposure to SDLC tools, such as: JIRA, Confluence, SVN, TeamCity, Crucible
