Software testing is responsible for assuring high quality of products, making sure they are working as expected and meet all the business and technical requirements. It is as important as software development. Making sure applications are bug free is an essential part of any product's life cycle.
Mobica is currently looking for candidates for the position of Junior Software Tester to work in our office in Lodz. If you are interested in IT, you might find software testing to be exactly what you are looking for.
- Always been better at breaking things than fixing them?
- You have IT, Telecommunications or similar background, but never been much interested in coding?
- You are familiar with some testing terminology or tools already?
Testing is all about breaking software, causing as many errors and crashes as possible as well as always trying the unexpected behavior from the developer's point of view. The main focus is not coding, so you don't have to be a programming guru to advance as a software tester. However, if you still enjoy it on occasion, you can always specialize in test automation or scripting. Being familiar with testing tools (e.g. JIRA) or terminology (e.g. black-box and white-box testing) is a great start, but logical and detail-oriented approach are more important for an aspiring tester and exactly what we are looking for.
Requirements for Junior Software Testers:
- Knack for testing and logic;
- Genuine interest for new mobile technology trends and services;
- Very good English skills for fluent verbal and written communication;
- Willingness to travel abroad;
- IT, Telecommunications or similar background (graduates as well as students);
