Your new role
As the Maintenance Engineer you will develop a critical equipment list based on business risk assessment. You'll ensure preventive and corrective maintenance and repair activities are in line with the defined targets and the manufacturing requirements through (mean time between failures; mean time to repair and overall effectiveness) MTBF, MTTR, FM, OEE indicators. You will also plan, prioritise, schedule and manage maintenance activities (for example planned maintenance programs, shut-downs, or emergency repairs) to rectify break-downs and malfunctions and minimise business disruptions. Additionally you'll provide input for maintenance procedures; monitor the maintenance data (cost, break-down, Failure Mode Effect Analysis etc), calculate, analyse and review maintenance KPIs to achieve activities’ effectiveness and respect of safety standards. You will also liaise with functional or operational area managers throughout the organization such as in production; or branch, store, facility, or plant mangers to ensure the equipment upgrade process is completed in a timely and effective manner. You will also prepare work orders and monitor the progress of work against estimates and directly be responsible for the installation and start up of the new equipment.
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience in a similar position within mechanical, process, plastics engineering is essential from the auto, injection moulding, pharmaceuticals, cable, metal, glass, extrusion or printing industry. A high level of maintenance especially related to electronic systems, motor drivers, PLC programming and electrical integration (machine modification). You will have a systematic problem solving approach with strong leadership and people management skills. Its vital you are analytical and team oriented with the ability to lead and motivate in a tough environment with few resources. TPM, preventive and predictive maintenance systems experience would be advantageous.
