Mechanical Engineer (m/f)
Main description
The Mechanical Engineer will be working in a global team and will be expected to translate market and design requirements to design and develop the small volume prover and storage tank gauging product portfolios.
Tasks and responsibilities
• Specification, design and qualification of (new) mechanical parts/products.
• Help maintaining the current product portfolio
• Manage outsourced third party developments/services.
• Perform root cause analyses.
• Follow internal design and development processes.
• Deliver on time and the right quality in accordance with project plan.
• Stay informed on new technical developments and share knowledge.
• Work in multi-disciplinary projects in close cooperation with other engineers and functions of whom some are based at other locations around the world.
Professional Skills / Education
• Bachelor/Master degree in mechanical engineering.
• Fluent in English, competence in the Dutch language is a strong advantage.
• Excellent planning skills and able to perform under pressure.
• Creative and a good focus on quality.
Knowledge and Experience Required
• 3-6 years post graduate experience in producing mechanical designs for volume manufacturing.
• Experience with 2/3D MCAD packages, preferably Solidworks.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Good metallurgy knowledge.
• Experience in the petrochemical is highly valued as is knowledge and understanding of the oil and gas industries and relevant standards for explosion safety (ATEX).
• Ability to follow design and development processes, structured approach.
