Pastry Cook prepares and bakes all the pastry and bakery in the cruise ship kitchen  -  we hire also Ukrainians, Russians and Belarussians for this job possition


Qualifications and experience:
  • Secondary School or / and Professional training/course in pastry-making (chocolate or ice-cream or bakery) or at least 1 year experience in pastry laboratory
  • Good communication skills in English

  • Knowledge of different food products (i.e. different types of sugar). Knowledge of different types of floor, breads, and bakery/pastry products.
  • Knows how to prepare different dough and bakes.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment (i.e. traditional oven and fan oven). knows How to use different types of bakery/pastry equipment.
  • You are very good at teamwork and you are ready to travel
  • Enthusiasm, flexibility and desire for adventure
  • HACCP sanitary certificate is an advantage
Your tasks:
  • Collaborates in pastry preparations, accomplishing all tasks assigned in order to provide the final product as per Company recipes, following HACCP standards and minimizing food spoilage
  • Reports any issue to the Chef Pastryman at occurrence in order to provide a fast and, effective solution
  • You know how to skilfully implement the recipe specification adequately to the chef's ideas and guidelines
  • You identify and solve any work in the pastry team
  • Organizes and keeps the assigned Galley area tidy, cleaned, sanitized and stores, utensils properly in order to respect HACCP standard and Company procedures
Conditions of employment:
  • Salary is on average 700-800 US Dollars net per month (612 USD basis + 90 USD bonus)
  • Free board and accommodation
  • Trip to the ship and return booked and paid for by the employer
  • Contract duration - 6 months. With good work oceans, the opportunity to work on subsequent contracts.

  • The ability to use for free in your free time the rooms and attractions for the crew of the ship such as: Crew Bar, Crew Gym, Ship's Sun Deck, Discount on goods in boutiques on the ship
  • Visiting in your free time on the pass of beautiful tourist attractions and ports (on average 110 new places in one contract and 75,000 km sailed at sea)
