Project Manager – Order Management

This position is responsible for ensuring smooth customer project order execution by coordinating with various stakeholders like Global Engineering Services engineers, sales front office assistant, Order Management, Factory, Sales persons and Estimators and ensuring that all the project deliverables are met as per the customer expectations. The person will take complete the ownership, accountability & control on the project requirements & deliverable thereby ensuring profitability for Honeywell. This person will also interact with customers to ensure all customer requirements and specifications are met and deliveries are made as per project schedules, promised in the PO.

Project Requirements:
  • -Understand from Sales office as well as Estimators on project scope requirements and deliverables.
  • -Critically understand the order details like model Nos, technical deviations, assumptions, compliance, all commercial terms and conditions, deliverables expected & Timelines, Third party Product requirements, Cost Considerations, customer contact points, Consultants, end user details, identify key responsible persons on Order Management, factory, Sales office, Front end sales Assistant, Global Engineering Services Engineering etc., for responsible sales office.
  • -Verify and validate customer's purchase order against provided quotation to ensure a match of items to be delivered and their technical correctness.
  • -Review PO for validation of contractual sales agreement elements such as terms and conditions, exceptions and notes; and confirm all customer notations and deliverables such as Packslip and signed Bill of Lading are attached to invoice, etc., and are in alignment with Honeywell policies and procedures.
  • -Go through the check list provided by Estimator and sales office and flag all actions to be carried out by every stake holders in a team room and do all the necessary preparation for Internal Kick Of Meetings.

    Project Mgmt, Coordination & Deliverables:
  • -To organize an internal Kick of Meetings between all the stake holders on project expectation and deliverables and will highlight necessary information to Global Engineering Services team, Order Management and let them know necessary documents required for Customer Approval, project expectations, deliverables and all actions to be taken.
  • -Coordinating with Order Management team to ensure smooth processing of the project order , all the way through invoicing and final collection. Address issues with overdue invoices stemming from various reasons.
  • -Coordinating with Global Engineering Services team to provide necessary support on customer specials, drawings, documentations and engineering involved;
  • -Coordinating with the factory to & ensure delivery, logistics, inspection etc involved as per customer requirements. Interface with 3rd party suppliers & Sourcing team and ensure necessary support on all 3rd party product requirements.
  • -Provide Detail Project Delivery Schedules in form of S curves etc & will guard mile stone billings. Provide customers with weekly or bi-weekly expediting reports which include the customers PO line item number/tag number cross-referenced to the Honeywell sales order/line item number utilizing a specialized spreadsheet assembled for this purpose.
  • -Acknowledge & address all issues in project deliverables, identify the ramifications of the issue through the project and the expected impact to customers; speedily communicate those issues to all stake holders and determine a strategy to counter the effects/issues.
  • -Provide revised quotations, propose additional products for order, and managing the change order process as required to ensure project success and customer satisfaction. Inform Sales/ Customers/ Global Engineering Services Engineering on Final Shipment and deliveries

    Project Costing/ Accountability :
  • -Understand and keep records of costing made on the project on regular basis.
  • -Update the management and sales offices periodically with reports on profitability, issues and concerns and current status of the project.
  • -Take Complete Ownership of the project & is capable to manage all standard & non- standard factory deliverables for major Field Product Orders. Give directions on the project as well as able to coordinate and take support from all stake holders like Order Management, Sales Office, Global Engineering Services Team etc.
  • -Handle Direct Customer Interactions and ensure compliance to meet all customer requirements & gain customer confidence and satisfaction through necessary support
Qualifications

Education:

  • -Bachelor Degree in related field; 4 or more years of equivalent experience in similar position may be used in lieu of degree.
  • -Education background related to Project Management would definitely be a plus point.
Knowledge & Skills:
    • -Fluency in English.
    • -Proven track record of individual and team oriented success.
    • -Must be able to coordinate well with all stake holders,
    • -Multi- tasking,
    • -Min 10 ~ 12 years experience in handling projects & project management,
    • -Min. 3 years engineered product sales/ sales support experience,
    • -Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and other web based collaboration tools.
    Knowledge of AutoCAD and SAP experience will be a plus.
