Our client is an international fashion retail company with turnover of over $1 billion USD, focused on the sale of fashion merchandise for men, women, and children through its company owned shops located in various main shopping centers of many European countries. To support the startup of operations in Poland, we are looking for a high-caliber and professional Chief Accountant to help achieve the company's goal of becoming one of the largest retail groups in the world.
- Prepare all the periodical financial reports according to local GAP and IFRS
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheet, P&L, cash-flow etc.)
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting process
- Work with external stakeholders (Auditors, Tax authorities, etc.) as necassary
- Support import/export process
- Prepare and submit official declarations in a timely manner
- Bookkeeping activities of the stores
- Reconsolidation of GL accounts and monthly closing process
- Responsible of accounts payable process
- Payroll preparation, fixed asset register bookings
- University degree in Business Administration or Economy
- Minimum 6 years experience in similar positions; retail experience is an asset
- Strong accounting background with accrual accounting mentality
- Sound knowledge in local tax laws and regulations
- Experience in local bookkeeping as well as IFRS financial reporting knowledge
- Result-oriented and a positive attitude approach
- Excellent communication skills and high sense of responsibility
- Ability to work in a multinational environment
- Fluent English (written & verbal)
